CHERUB CLOCK

China case, hand painted in various colors with glazed finish. 2 1/4 inch ivory colored foil dial. Height, 5 1/2 inches. Width, 6 inches. Fitted with a LUX 30-hour non-overwind, thin model movement.
These clocks were made in ceramic classes in the 1950s. They came as a kit. The kit contained a clock case, flowers, paint, and the LUX fit up clock. The flowers were placed on the case and then it would be fired in a kiln. The case was then painted and glazed, and fired a second time. When it was finished the LUX CLOCK was inserted into the case.
