MANTLE CLOCK
CIRCA 1926
Composition white metal case, imperial bronze finish. 3 1/4 by 2 inch fancy gold dial. Height, 5 7/8 inches. Width, 5 3/4 inches. Fitted with a LUX 30-hour guaranteed non-over wind movement. The Benedict Mfg. Co. produced this clock case (the B in a diamond on the clock dial) in 1926 for the U. S. market. The Benedict Mfg. Co. was located in Syracuse, New York. They were prolific makers of brass, copper, silver plate; bronze and gold wash metal items in the late 1800's and early 1900's.
